Greetings!
I am Jai Ansh Singh Bindra, currently a second year undergrad (Bachelor of Science) in Mathematics and Computer Science at Ecole Polytechnique, France. I am deeply passionate about the fields of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Software Dev.), Mathematics, Quant, Finance and robotics. My specific interests in the aforementioned domains include Machine Learning, Quant Research and Trading, Investment Banking, Financial Markets (and Asset management), Statistics, and Applied Robotics respectively. Entrepreneurial thinking and leadership which I also love to work upon. I have also done a lot of Aerospace Engineering (Avionics) and some Particle Physics research earlier!

 

I actively explore technologies like AI/ML, software and fields like Statistics and applications and intersections of the aforementioned in finance. I have earlier utilised CS and related technical skills like electronics and mechatronics to work on technical-social impact projects and to contribute to innovative, complex-problem solving and industrial level projects in fields like aerospace engineering (avionics), electronics and sustainable forestry. I have always strived to learn more and more and develop my skills in core CS fields. My interests in these domains are well supported by my former experience in Data Analytics and elementary Cybersecurity.

I am currently working to develop myself in both the technical and financial world!

I have taken up multiple internships and projects in the past majorly in software, AI (and applied AI), robotics and rocketry/aerospace to gain exposure and build a diverse and strong skill set.

 

I am currently a Board Member (Events) at BX Quant and Finance, where we are currently working on a large-scale and one-of-its kind collaborative projects. I also spend a lot of my time learning about the nuances of the Quant Finance and the financial world here! I also am the President of the RobotX (Robotics Group of the Bachelor of Science at Ecole Polytechnique) Society/Committee at Ecole Polytechnique!

I also work regularly with the IP Paris Racing Team as a permanent member of the Chassis and the Battery team!

In June 2022, I developed a technical social impact project (Roll Infinity) which received recognition in the form of a feature in The Times of India. 

​

Speedcubing and Linguistics are my top hobbies! If it was not for computer science, quant, finance and mathematics; I would have definitely ventured into Rocketry and robotics as my main fields of interest!

  • Developed 4 AI social Impact projects during my time as an AI scholar in grades 9th and 10th.

  • I worked on the following AI for social Impact projects -for solving waterlogging, predicting natural calamities, predicting best time to sow seeds & a text to voice model.

Researcher and Member | New York Academy of Sciences

September 2022 - May 2023

  • Got inducted into the prestigious NYAS for my previous work in Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace and Physics.

  • Worked on the 'Sustainable Forestry using AI' Project as the lead (interactive) dashboard developer (for real time forest-map and helful stats integration etc) , algorithm, AI and stats researcher. (See Projects section for the project).

  • Worked on the ' CyberHawks (Securing Workplace of the Future using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Project:- delved deeper into the field of cybersecurity and helped the team in linking it with the field of AI for ideating our solution to the rising cybersecurity threat, especially in workplaces.  (See LinkedIn for more details!)

  • Pitched Ideas relating to two AI - incorporated social impact projects.

  • Worked on the 'Roll Infinity - The Rolling Robot'. (with another person)

  • We developed the first prototype and made it fully functional.

  • Currently working on the AI algorithm for adding it to the cam module of our robot for enhancing its capabilities to reach its full potential.

  • Got featured in The Times of India (The leading national daily) and a few other dailies for our work.

Research Intern | Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi

  • Worked as a Research Intern at the IUAC and researched particle and accelerator physics, 

  • Contributed to a then ongoing research project and assisted with various major tasks in the project for 2 months.

Avionics Intern & Mechanical Design Trainee | Space Technology & Aeronautical Rocketry

March 2022 - April 2022

  • Researched the working of sensors, decided om the flow of events, and built the virtual simulation of avionics part of the Static Test Pad and High powered Rocket Project.

  • Developed the Code for programming and calibrating all the sensors and designed a virtual PCB after the finalization of the circuit.

  • Was the systems engineer of my team in the project development phase.

  • Made 3D Models using CAD/CAE software like SolidWorks/Fusion 360.

  • Researched ergonomics of various materials , gave comprehensive presentations on behalf of my team and prepared detailed project reports.

Citizen Scientist (IASC and NSASC) | National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

  • Core Member & team leader of 2 Major Asteroid Search campaigns held by the International Asteroid Search Collaboration & NASA.

  • Here , I analyzed data sets & hunted asteroids. Had 2 (1 individual, 1 team) and 3 (individual ; while being in a team) provisional discoveries in the first and second campaigns respectively.

  • Name of my preliminary discoveries - JAI1223, JAI0708, JMT0003, JMT0004 and RUT2123.

Vice President | Astronomy Club, Nova

  • Managed the club

  • Worked on overall planning of events.

  • Acted as the key innovator (Ideated the Formation of super squad, the ranking system and competitive framework of Nova.)

  • I participated for the entire duration in the bootcamp training stage but could not contribute in the project development stage due to health issues.

Quantum School for Young Students(Virtual) | University of Waterloo

July 2022

QSYS is a unique enrichment program for high school students that offers a blend of expert lectures, small group discussions, problem-solving, and opportunities for mentoring and networking with world-leading quantum researchers.
I was selected for this prestigious summer school program and I did the following during the entirety of the program -
1. Brushed my concepts about advanced mathematics topics like Complex numbers.
2. Explored in depth the various advents of Quantum Computing.
3. Leanrt in detail (through interactive classes) about the future of Quantum computing. ( Quantum computing is a rapidly-emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers.)​
